Luke Vibert-Lover's Acid (Planet Mu – ZIQ098CD) 2005

Impossible de vous parler d'acid sans citer le nom de Luke Vibert, grand amoureux de l'indémodable duo de machines TB-TR. Ayant fait quelques détours chez Ninja Tune, Warp ou encore Soundofspeed, c'est cette fois-ci chez Planet Mu que l'individu sortira son cartoon.

Cet album dévoile toute l'étendue de l'esprit funky et old-school de Monsieur Vibert. Ses productions renferment toujours ce je ne sais quoi de ludique, qui fait à notre insu travailler les zygomatiques et remuer la tête. Prit dans un élan des plus infantile, le personnage s'adonne à des expérimentations analogiques des plus jouissives, prend un malin plaisir à bidouiller et à triturer cette pièce de maître qu'est le TB-303. Le bonhomme connaît son coffre à jouets par coeur, et ça se sent.

Au final nous terminons avec d'excellent morceaux tels qu'Analord, ou encore Acid2000 porté par un trio piano/voix/beat hip-hop superbement efficace. 

Que dire alors du détonnant Dirty Fucker, morceau acidifiée jusqu'à la moelle, dopé aux rythmes breakés sous méthamphétamines? Une bombe!

Dès l'écoute de l'introduction, nous nous sentons pris dans un délire complètement décousu auquel on ne peut succomber. Nous restons donc là, pendant une heure entière, à apprécier le génie de Luke Vibert, en espérant qu'à un moment où à un autre, il nous prêtera ses figurines, pour que l'on puisse se défouler tout comme lui.

It's impossible to talk you about acid without mentioning the name of Luke Vibert, great lovers of timeless machines duo TB-TR. Having made ​​turns at Ninja Tune's, Warp's or Soundofspeed's,  it's this time at Planet Mu's that the man is going to release his cartoon.

This album reveals the full extent of the funky and old-school spirit of Mr.Vibert. His productions always include that play feeling, which make working the zygomatic and moving our head without our knowledge. Taken in an infantile surge, the character engages in pretty orgasmic analogical experiments, takes delight in pummeling and fiddling with this master piece, the TB-303. The guy knows his toy box like the back of his hand, we can feel it.

Finally we finish with great tracks such as Analord, or Acid2000 carried by a trio of piano/voices/hip-hop beat fantastically effective.
So what about the explosive Dirty Fucker song, acidified to the marrow, doped with a broken beat under methamphetamines? Simply a bomb!

From listening to the introduction, we feel caught in a completely incoherent delirium which we can not succumb. We stay there for an hour, to appreciate the genius of Luke Vibert, hoping that at some moment, he will lend us his figurines, so that we can let off steam like him.
